Next B2B Race 9/7/20
Since it’s inaugural running in 2012, the Bridge to Bridge 4 mile race has been one of the Premiere Running events in central Illinois.
Bridge to Bridge has a unique venue … no other pedestrian traffic is allowed on the Cedar Street Bridge … a challenging course, wonderful swag, great food, and good beer!
Since it’s inaugural running in 2012, the Bridge to Bridge 4 mile race has become one of the premier running events in the area.
The 2020 course had to be modified to an out and back because of I-74 road construction (causing the closing of the Murray Baker Bridge, forcing I-74 traffic to detour across the Bob Michael Bridge, and making the Bob Michael Bridge unavailable for the 202 B2B Race).
The 2020 run starts on Water Street, outside R C Outfitters (Formerly Running Central; 311 SW Water St, Floor 1, Peoria, Illinois 61602), at 7:00a, goes north to Liberty St. where a left turn takes the route 2 blocks up to Washington St, for another left turn south to Mcarthur Hwy and another left turn onto the Cedar Street Bridge, crossing over the Illinois River into East Peoria. Near the end of the Cedar Street Bridge exit ramp in east Peoria, the course turns 180 degrees and returns across the river to Peoria via the Cedar Street Bridge, turns north on Washington St to Walnut St, where the course turns toward the river to Water St, and finishes back at R C Outfitters.
Water Stops will be near mile markers 1 and 3 at Washington and Pecan St.and mile 2 (at the turn-around), and at the start/finish line.
The Post Race Celebration and Awards will be at the CEFCU Center Stage, 200 N. Water St, just North of the Peoria Riverfront Museum and Caterpillar Visitor Center.
